How to choose
Choosing your Miami neighborhood.
Commute and transit
Start with where you need to be each day. Metrorail runs from Dadeland through South Miami, Coral Gables, Coconut Grove and Brickell to downtown; Tri-Rail and Brightline link Miami and Fort Lauderdale.
House or condo
A house brings a yard and more upkeep; a condo trades them for shared amenities, association rules and fees. For condos, ask for the structural inspection reports, reserves and any special assessments.
The water, flood zones and insurance
Flood zones vary from one property to the next, and standard homeowners policies do not cover flood. Check each home’s zone and get insurance quotes before your inspection period ends.
Space, schools and daily life
Think about lot size, weekends and errands. Confirm the assigned public schools for the exact address with the school district, since boundaries can change, and tour at the hours you would live there.
01Which Miami neighborhood is right for me?
It depends on your commute, budget and the home you want. Brickell is known for high-rise condos, Coral Gables for Mediterranean Revival homes, Pinecrest for large lots and Fort Lauderdale for its canals.
02Does Emmar Realty cover Fort Lauderdale too?
Yes. Bilal Hamie serves Miami and Fort Lauderdale, across Miami-Dade and Broward counties, in English or Spanish.
03Can Bilal help me compare areas before I move?
Yes. Tell him your budget, commute and the home you want, and he will suggest a short list and plan private tours around your schedule or trip.
Not sure where to start?
Tell Bilal how you live and work. He replies within 24 hours with areas and homes to consider.
